on our big surftrip to indonesia this summer we got to know many “bilateral surfercouples”. it was so beautiful to see how the world slowly but surely starts to unite. I’d love to have a group photo with all of them.

there have been l. from indonesia and m. from japan, then p. from thailand and t. from germany, e. from indonesia and t. from belgium who have a baby now and so on and so forth – just beautiful!

my blog doesn’t have enough traffic to do that, but I’d love to have hundreds of pictures of couples who are from different countries and doing fine! if you are such a couple or if you know one, please help me out.

I hope to have a nice collage or picture-video of many of us soon :)

once upon a time…

…a surfergirl started packing! yeah!!! I waited so long for this moment :) well, I know – I start early, but I will have to do a lot of packing and unpacking until I’m really done. it’s not so easy to pack for three months, I never did that before. but it’s such a lot of fun! and anticipation is growing immensely :)))

can’t wait

twelve more days, four more exams at university and I’m back in my bf’s arms inshallah. I miss his smile, I miss talking to him, I miss his touch, I miss staring at him while he’s sleeping, I miss paddling out to the line-up with him, I miss his perfume, I miss his happiness, his sadness, his lostness in thoughts, his laugh and his love… even filming him while he’s out there surfing and I’m just sitting there like stupid surferboy-girlfriends do ;)

AND I MISS THE AMAZING BREAKFAST HE PREPARES FOR ME EVERY SINGLE MORNING!

so… just a thought out of my crazy mind. if I convert to judaism and I get a baby with my boyfriend who is muslim – what religion does the little surfer have? as far as I know, in islamic tradition the kids have the religion of the father – and: in judaism they automatically have the religion of the mother! BINGO! so our kids would be jewlims? or mews? anyway, I think it would be a really good thing!

and if my theory doesn’t work out – at least we could try to surf together…

so I did it! just now I booked our flights from morocco to bali, from bali to the philippines, from the philis back to bali and from bali back to morocco. we will stay for 8 weeks from july till september!

if you know any cheap and nice places we could stay, it would be very cool if you could leave us a comment – thank you surferfriends all over the world! hope you also planned your next surftrip already :)

anyway, let’s start with the “seven interesting things about myself”:

* born christian, long-time atheist, thinking about converting to judaism now, engaged to a muslim (interesting enough?)

* surfing is pretty much everything that’s on my mind since I started taking this “drug” in september 2009

* I have lots of piercings and some tattoos (but I will take out most of the piercings soon maybe)

* I used to be a music journalist for a rock magazine and I’m known for talking on the radio

* I quit my job, I’m studying again and shanti is coming back to me :)

* I’m falling in love with the idea of having our own surf restaurant/shop/camp

* I want a baby… (omg-d, it’s getting personal, good that there’s no 8th interesting thing I have to write down now) ;)

I am happy!

it’s spring where I live, the sun is gaining power again, I’m back at university after some years of hard work, I have an amazing boyfriend (although we are apart, but we will be together in the line-up again in less than four weeks), I will move to my new apartment in may and… I am happy! I’m really truly happy at the moment. the past years haven’t been easy and I forgot how it feels to be HAPPY! I’m so thankful that I am at the moment! I know that rollercoaster-life will have many ups and downs for me in the future, but I am finally able to savor every minute of my present happiness and it feels so damn good! :) I hope you are alright out there – enjoy it if you can! lots of sunhine to you -steph

you know that I’ve quit my job and I want to go to morocco to visit my boyfriend again in april 2013. in june or july we want to go together to indonesia and to the philippines, because he doesn’t need a visa for these countries. my love doesn’t have enough money for the flight though (he has never been anywhere outside his own country yet) and I’m not able to pay for him…

I know it is a big thing to ask and I’m not really feeling comfortable, but if you could help us with some euros, dirham, dollars, rupees, pesos, bahts, dinars, shekels or whatever – we would be more than happy and thankful!
